Hello! Last week with my peers we had the opportunity to do something super interesting and amazing. Ww visited Telefe, one of the biggest TV networks in Argentina! They produce from the daily news and sports events to very well-kown reality and entertainment shows such as "Masterchef", "Corta por Lozano" and "Gran Hermano."
Even ourselves we watch these shows at home, so standing right where they are made was a incredible experience and we learned a lot!
What we saw:
- TV studios: We saw a streaming set, the MasterChef kitchen, and the Gran Hermano (Big Brother) stage. In real life, these sets are much bigger than they look on TV!
- Control rooms: We saw a rooms full of screens showing different camera views and live shows. Each console had a different function and had direct connection to the TV sets.
- Technical equipment: We saw big professional cameras, huge lights, special screens and consoles thta function in real-time to make sure the shows go air without problems.
- We also talked with the team and they taught us about their roles and what they each had to do. It was amazing to see how they work all toghether to make a show work.
I learned that television is all about teamwork: one live show requires many producers, directors, and technicians to communicate and work together at the exact same time. I also realized that the actual TV studios are much bigger in real life!!! This experience gave me a new view of how much hard work it is needed behind the scenes to create the shows we love watching from home! And meeting with these people inspired me to cotinue learning and trying new things.
